Have Fun When Choosing Your Cycling Water Bottle

Unless you're planning to only take your bicycle around the block, it would be prudent to invest in a decent cycling water bottle. For obvious reasons, every cyclist should keep hydrated in order to go a further distance in shorter time. Interesting enough, fears of carrying too large a bottle due to increase of drag friction has proven to be false. Of course, that doesn't exactly mean that one should load up his or her bicycle full of bottles either as you'll be the one having to carry all that weight around, literally.

How About Cycling with a Cold Drink?

These days, the cycling bottle comes in all sorts of fun and interesting features to capture the consumer's attention. For instance, you can now easily get ice cubes in your water bottle by picking the wide-mouth design. Of course, to further complement that option, your cycling water bottle should also be insulated so your cold drinks will remain cold, and your hot drinks will remain hot.

Always Consider Easy Access to Your Liquid

Even the bottle lid itself comes in two variations - you can opt between the screw-on lid and the snap-on lid according to your own personal preference. Logistically speaking, it would probably be best to get the cycling bottle with a straw to minimize the distraction while riding the bicycle.

Personalize It!

Manufacturers have also played with the material composition of the bottle (that ranges from steel, to plastic and carbon fibre) as well as colours and design. Pro-environment users should get the water bottles made up of recycled aluminium material. Probably one of the more abstract water bottles would be the hemispheric shaped bottle reputedly shaped to provide better ergonomics while also improving the aerodynamics of the water bottle.

For cyclists who are prone to be hypochondriacs, do consider getting the bottle that comes with built-in water purifiers to prevent bacteria or any other form of virus from getting into your immune system. Not sharing your bottle with other fellow cyclists would also be highly advisable. After all, the bottles are mass produced, and that means that virtually anyone can afford one, even sans bicycle.
