Yakima Bike Rack Needs to Be Tried

Yakima has seen far too much damage in both cars and bikes alike, that it has decided to stand up and try to make a bike rack that suits the needs of cars and bikes alike, and keep both parties clean and scratch- free at the same time.

With this, Yakima introduces the new Yakima Bike rack DoubleDown 4, which aims to provide a whole new experience as to how your bikes can get carried, as well as another set of experiences just for trying to keep your car free from scratches as it lugs along your bikes.

Straight out of the box, the new Yakima Bike rack DoubleDown weighs in at about 25 pounds, which is pretty much within the industry's average for equipment of this size.

Not only is the Yakima DoubleDown 4 suited to carrying four bikes to the trailhead, it also folds out to make way for access to the back of the car without having to go through the trouble of passing through the back seat. With this, access to your car's back parts are not only made easier, it also makes some users forget that a rack is installed in their car when they lift the backdoor.

When the rack is not in use, the DoubleDown rack's support bars fold down to make it less obtrusive when it is not in use, especially when you need it to go down to access the other parts of the car.

The rack is compatible with 2- and 1.25- inch hitch receivers, for greater flexibility when it comes to handling your cycling units and loading them in your vehicle for transport. Yakima's anti- sway cradles are designed to keep your bikes from touching and bumping into each other while they are loaded on the rack and on the road.
